Prosecco DOC Brut “Millesimo”

Il Millesimo is a young and exuberant Prosecco DOC that accurately reflects the variations of temperature and climate of the vintage. The vivacity of its youth is already revealed by the lively and vibrant straw yellow colour which gradually fades into lighter hues. The intensity of the perfume recalls the fruity aroma of freshly picked peaches, quinces and pears. Barely hinted notes of aromatic herbs reveal a vintage with cool temperatures but a high quality harvest. The fragrant notes of bread crust and cereal, the result of resting on the lees during the second fermentation, finish the olfactory phase leaving a pleasant memory. The nature of the mudstone and clay soils together with variations in vineyard temperature in the area to the east of the Sommariva Palazzo Rosso properties, give our Millesimo Brut a well-balanced fresh, dry taste, enriched by the inevitable stream of bubbles. The pleasing taste followed by the fruity aromas that return to the palate make it an ideal accompaniment for the classic risotto of the Veneto cuisine based on wild field herbs, white meat and fish dishes, raw seafood appetizers, eel and polenta.

Prosecco DOC Treviso Extra Dry

Our Prosecco DOC is the Extra Dry sparkling wine that best illustrates the taste of the
peasant tradition of the hills with its fruity aromas and genuine flavour

Prosecco DOC Extra Dry

The fruity aroma and pleasing taste are the characteristic features of Sommariva Prosecco DOC Extra Dry. Both elements faithfully evoke the image of a Prosecco produced in the traditional way. As tradition has it, the straw yellow colour is deeper. The aroma of fresh fruit such as apple and pear are typical of the Glera grape. The citrus notes of cedar and delicate notes of linden and hawthorn flowers remind us of the cool climate of the rolling Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills. Even in the mouth the satisfying taste of Sommariva Prosecco DOC Extra Dry references the wine of the past, pleasantly balanced, with a flowing body, soft, dry and savoury as it should be. And there is also a tradition at the table where it combines well with simple, tasty dishes such as first courses based on legumes and vegetables, semi-seasoned cheeses, fresh salami, white meats or grilled fish.
